**Kannur, Kerala – February 15, 2025** – Three third-year college students in Kannur, Kerala, have been arrested for allegedly morphing nude images of their classmates and teachers. Police registered a case against the accused under sections of the Information Technology Act and the Kerala Police Act following a complaint from the college principal, Father Francis Karackat.
One of the students has been taken into custody. Police allege that he used his phone and editing software to manipulate the images before sharing them with the other two accused. The incident came to light when some victims discovered the morphed images and reported it to their teacher.
A total of 47 morphed images were found on the accused student’s phone, which has been seized by authorities. Father Karackat stated that several victims were initially hesitant to report the incident, prompting his decision to file a formal complaint. The accused students have been suspended from the college.
