**HAYWARD, CA** – A series of four earthquakes rattled the Hayward area Thursday, with the strongest registering a preliminary magnitude of 3.7, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The tremors, which began at 5:08 a.m. with a magnitude 2.7 quake, continued throughout the day. Two quakes of magnitudes 3.3 and 3.2 struck within two minutes of each other around noon. The largest quake hit just before 2 p.m.
Residents reported feeling the shaking as far away as Concord and Fremont. However, authorities have reported no injuries or significant damage.
