ERODE, February 15, 2025 – Fifteen Bangladeshi nationals residing in Perundurai without proper documentation were arrested by police on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off, authorities conducted raids in several areas, questioning individuals employed in textile units, tailoring shops, and construction. Investigations revealed that the individuals lacked valid documents, leading to their arrest under Section 3(2)(e) r/w 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946. They were subsequently presented in court and transferred to Puzhal Central Prison in Chennai.
