VISAKHAPATNAM, Andhra Pradesh – Former Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has strongly condemned the arrest of YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam on Thursday, Botsa questioned the re-arrest of Vamsi after a previous case was withdrawn, calling it vindictive politics. He stated that such actions are unacceptable in politics.

While acknowledging that action should be taken if irregularities are proven in the construction of buildings in Rushikonda, Botsa criticized the ruling coalition government’s handling of the situation. He asserted that the YSRCP will question the government’s failures in the state Legislative Council. He also addressed allegations of rising prices and power cuts, further criticizing the government’s performance.

Meanwhile, police placed former minister Perni Nani under house arrest in Machilipatnam, Krishna district, amid concerns about potential unrest following Vamsi’s arrest. Heavy police presence was deployed around Nani’s residence. Vamsi, arrested in Hyderabad, was transferred to Krishna district and then to a police station in Vijayawada.

Botsa also demanded the release of a SIT report on land scams from previous TDP and YSRCP governments. He accused the current government of being all talk and no action.
