**TIRUPPUR, February 12, 2025** – Government and government-aided schools in Tiruppur district are implementing a fast-tracked coaching program for underperforming students to maintain their consistently high pass rates in public examinations. The district achieved a remarkable 97.45% pass rate in the Plus Two exams in 2024, mirroring their success in 2019.
To ensure continued success, daily slip tests are being administered to familiarize slow learners with short-answer questions, helping them secure the minimum passing marks, according to Chief Educational Officer M. Uthayakumar. Following a recent meeting with school heads and teachers convened by District Collector T. Christuraj, a focus has been placed on targeted revision, slip tests, and special classes addressing weaker areas identified in previous assessments.
School officials are actively engaging with parents of slow learners to monitor student study habits and ensure sufficient preparation time for the daily tests. The success of initiatives such as the Pudhumai Penn and Tamil Pudhalvan schemes, which provide students with ₹1,000 monthly stipends for higher education, are also credited with motivating students.
This year, 15,733 students will take the SSLC exam and 12,034 will sit for the Plus Two exam in the district. The proactive measures taken by the Tiruppur education system demonstrate a commitment to ensuring all students achieve academic success.
