**Scottsdale, Arizona –** A deadly collision involving two private jets occurred Monday afternoon at the Scottsdale Airport, resulting in at least one fatality and multiple injuries. According to Scottsdale Fire Department Captain Dave Folio, one person remained trapped in the wreckage as of late Monday afternoon, with rescue efforts underway. Two other injured individuals were transported to trauma centers, while one is reportedly in stable condition at a local hospital.

The incident involved a midsize business jet that veered off the runway and collided with another midsize business jet parked on private property, according to airport officials. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the runway excursion. Scottsdale Airport’s runway remains closed indefinitely.

The airport, a significant hub for private jets in the Phoenix area, is particularly busy during major events such as the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament. This latest incident follows a recent string of aviation accidents in the U.S., including a mid-air collision near Washington D.C. that killed 67 people and several other fatal crashes in recent weeks. The investigation into the Scottsdale incident is ongoing.
