**Bengaluru, February 13, 2025** – A 30-year-old woman was rescued by police in Madanayakanahalli after her husband allegedly attempted to murder her by forcing her to drink glue. The incident, stemming from a domestic dispute, occurred recently.
According to police, Manjula was found unconscious outside her home following a fight with her husband, Siddalingaswamy. Neighbours alerted the Hoysala patrolling team, who found Manjula and rushed her to a hospital. Medical examination confirmed she had been forced to consume glue and strangled. She is currently recovering in the ICU.
Siddalingaswamy was arrested on Wednesday following a complaint filed by a patrolling constable. Investigations revealed a history of domestic violence, with the husband frequently accusing Manjula of infidelity. During a particularly heated argument, he allegedly forced her to drink the glue and attempted to strangle her.
Siddalingaswamy has been charged under sections 109 (attempt to murder) and 85 (cruelty by husband or relative) of the Indian Penal Code (assuming BNS refers to IPC). Further investigations are underway.
