**New Delhi, [Date]** – A 24-year-old Jamia Millia Islamia student was stabbed in New Friends Colony on Monday following a dispute with two other students from Jammu and Kashmir. Police have arrested one suspect, Tajamul Islam (22), while his accomplice, Lukman (23), remains at large.
The victim, Zeshan, and his friend Safdar Rashid Rathar were involved in an altercation with Islam and Lukman near a parking lot. The argument, reportedly sparked by offensive remarks made by the attackers, escalated into a physical fight, resulting in Zeshan being stabbed.
Both attackers are students at a private university in Noida and reside in East of Kailash. Police recovered the knife used in the assault. Zeshan is currently recovering in stable condition. A case has been registered at the New Friends Colony police station based on a complaint filed by Rathar. The investigation is ongoing.
