**Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh –** A wedding celebration in Lucknow took an unexpected and terrifying turn late Wednesday night when a leopard crashed the festivities, sending guests scrambling for safety. The incident occurred at approximately 11 pm at MM Lawn, where Akshay Srivastava and Jyoti Kumari were exchanging vows.
The uninvited feline’s arrival sparked immediate panic. Guests fled the scene, with one eyewitness reporting the bride and groom locking themselves in a car. At least one guest sustained injuries after jumping from the first floor of the venue, while two camerapersons were also hurt in the ensuing chaos.
Forest department officials and police arrived following emergency calls and launched a nearly five-hour search operation. The leopard was eventually located hiding on the first floor of the venue. During the capture, a forest department official, Muqaddar Ali, was attacked and injured by the animal.
After the leopard was apprehended around 3:30 am, the wedding ceremony resumed the following morning. The incident, while terrifying, ultimately ended without further serious injuries. Authorities are investigating how the leopard gained access to the wedding venue.
