Wed Feb 12 15:22:55 UTC 2025: ## Comedian Samay Raina Removes “India’s Got Latent” Videos Amid Controversy

**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Comedian Samay Raina has removed all episodes of his show, “India’s Got Latent,” from his channel following a major controversy sparked by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s appearance. Allahbadia’s comments on the show, deemed vulgar and offensive by many, went viral, leading to widespread outrage and calls for action.

Raina, who is now facing summons from the Maharashtra Cyber Department, stated on X (formerly Twitter) that the situation had become overwhelming. He asserted his intention was purely to entertain and expressed his full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

Allahbadia, with over 16 million social media followers, issued a video apology, admitting a lapse in judgment and acknowledging that comedy isn’t his forte. However, the damage was done. The incident has triggered a debate surrounding freedom of speech and acceptable levels of decency in entertainment.

The Maharashtra Cyber Department has registered a First Information Report (FIR) under the Information Technology Act. Notices have been issued to Allahbadia, along with past guests and judges of the show, and authorities have requested the removal of all 18 episodes from social media platforms. A preliminary investigation suggests that previous episodes also contained inappropriate language. The controversy continues to fuel conversations about online content regulation and the boundaries of acceptable humor.
