Wed Feb 12 18:30:18 UTC 2025: ## Comedian Removes Videos, Faces Summons After Controversial Show Backlash
**MUMBAI –** Comedian Samay Raina has removed all videos related to the YouTube show “India’s Got Latent” following a massive controversy sparked by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s controversial comments. Raina, who has been issued a summons by the Maharashtra Cyber Department, stated on X (formerly Twitter) that the situation had become overwhelming and that his only intention was to provide entertainment. He pledged full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
The controversy erupted after clips from a recent episode of “India’s Got Latent,” featuring Allahbadia’s comments on parents and sex, went viral, leading to widespread calls for action. Allahbadia has since issued a video apology, attributing his remarks to a lapse in judgment.
The Maharashtra Cyber Department has registered a First Information Report (FIR) under the Information Technology Act, citing vulgar and obscene language used by participants in several episodes. Notices have been issued to Allahbadia and other guests and judges who appeared on the show, with authorities also requesting the producers to remove all 18 episodes from social media platforms. The incident has ignited a debate surrounding freedom of speech and acceptable standards of decency in online content.
