**London** – Christopher Nolan, fresh off his Oscar-winning success with *Oppenheimer*, is set to bring Homer’s *The Odyssey* to the big screen. The film, slated for a July 2026 release, boasts an already impressive ensemble cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Benny Safdie, who played physicist Edward Teller in *Oppenheimer*, joins the ranks.

Safdie, known for his work in *Uncut Gems*, *Good Time*, and the TV series *The Curse*, will add his considerable acting talent to this highly anticipated adaptation of the classic tale of Odysseus’s epic journey home after the Trojan War. This is not the first cinematic interpretation of *The Odyssey*; previous adaptations include a 1954 film starring Kirk Douglas and various other films inspired by the epic poem.

Nolan’s wife and longtime producer, Emma Thomas, previously hinted at the project’s ambitious scope, stating that the possibilities are “limitless” following *Oppenheimer*’s phenomenal success. The film promises to be another visually stunning and narratively complex offering from the acclaimed director.
