**Cairo, Egypt** – The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has issued a weather warning for the coming days, advising citizens to be prepared for fluctuating conditions. The warning, published on the EMA’s official Facebook page, predicts early morning fog, periods of light rain, and a slight temperature increase across the country.
Heavy fog is expected to affect agricultural and express roads, as well as areas near bodies of water like the Nile River, from 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Thursday. Drivers, particularly those traveling early in the morning, are urged to exercise caution.
Light, intermittent rain is forecast for parts of the northeastern coast. Intermittent strong winds are also anticipated nationwide.
Thursday’s weather is predicted to be cool during the daytime in Greater Cairo, the northern coast, and the northern parts of Upper Egypt. Temperatures will be moderate in northern Upper Egypt and warm in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt. Nighttime and early morning temperatures will be severely cold across most of the country.
The EMA forecasts that the fog will continue from Friday to Tuesday, potentially becoming dense in some areas. A gradual temperature increase of 2-4 degrees Celsius is expected from Saturday to Tuesday.
