Mon Feb 10 07:38:33 UTC 2025: ## YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia Faces Backlash After Vulgar Question on Reality Show

**Mumbai, February 10, 2025** – Popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, is embroiled in a major controversy following a vulgar question posed to a contestant on the reality show *India’s Got Latent*. The question, which asked the contestant to choose between watching their parents have sex daily for life or joining them once to stop it, has sparked widespread outrage and calls for action.

A video clip of the incident went viral, prompting strong reactions from various quarters. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, while stating he hadn’t personally viewed the clip, condemned the remarks as “very vulgar” and warned that those who overstep the bounds of decency will face consequences. He emphasized that freedom of speech has limits.

Two Mumbai lawyers have filed a police complaint against Allahbadia and other comedians involved in the show, citing disrespect towards women. The complaint has been submitted to Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phalsankar and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission.

Prominent journalist and lyricist Neelesh Misra criticized the incident, calling out the “perverted creators” shaping India’s creative economy and highlighting the lack of responsibility from both creators and platforms in not designating such content as adult. He further pointed to the normalization of such behavior by the audience and platforms. Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate echoed these sentiments, calling the comment “pervert” and expressing concern over the applause it received. A user also called out Amitabh Bachchan, the host of *Kaun Banega Crorepati* where some of the individuals involved have appeared.

Several social media users have also demanded action from Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, citing the potential negative impact on children and youth. Allahbadia himself has yet to comment on the controversy. This is not the first controversy surrounding *India’s Got Latent*; last week, a case was filed against a contestant for a remark about dog meat.
