Mon Feb 10 08:18:52 UTC 2025: ## Modi Shares Leadership Lessons with Students at ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025’

**NEW DELHI** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off the eight-part series “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025” today at Delhi’s Sunder Nursery, offering students valuable insights into leadership. Addressing a select group of students, Modi emphasized that true leadership begins with self-improvement, highlighting teamwork, trust, and patience as crucial elements.

“Leadership isn’t imposed; it’s earned through the trust and respect of others,” Modi stated. He cautioned against the misconception of leadership as merely holding a position of authority, using the example of a class monitor who fails to follow the rules. Instead, he stressed the importance of leading by example, demonstrating commitment and assisting peers.

The Prime Minister illustrated his point by saying, “If you preach cleanliness but create filth, you cannot be a leader.” He added that respect isn’t demanded; it’s earned through consistent action and genuine support for others.

This year’s event, which saw over five crore registrations from students, teachers, and parents across India and abroad, featured a diverse panel of celebrities and experts including Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey, and Bhumi Pednekar; spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev; and various other prominent figures from the fields of sports, nutrition, technology, and business.

Launched in 2018, “Pariksha Pe Charcha” aims to alleviate exam stress for students in classes 6 to 12. This year’s event, with 36 students selected from each state and union territory, marks a significant milestone in the program’s reach and impact. The online registration period ran from December 14, 2024, to January 14, 2025.
