**SHIVAMOGGA, Karnataka, February 10, 2025** – A three-to-four-year-old tiger was found dead in Ramadevara Halla near Belur in Hassan district on Sunday evening. Villagers alerted the Forest Department, but by the time officials arrived, darkness prevented an immediate post-mortem.
According to Divisional Forest Officer Sourabh Kumar, the tiger had been sighted in the forest patches of Hassan and Belur taluks since August 2024. Veterinarians are scheduled to conduct a post-mortem examination today to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
