NEW DELHI – Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with students from across India in the Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025 program on February 10th, 2025. The event, livestreamed across various platforms, saw record participation with over 33 million students, 2 million teachers, and 5.5 million parents registering. This year’s PPC featured a new format, incorporating 12 prominent personalities from diverse fields alongside PM Modi. These included Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey, and Bhumi Pednekar; spiritual leader Sadhguru; boxing champion Mary Kom; Paralympian Avani Lekhara; fitness coach Rujuta Diwekar; nutritionist Sonali Sabharwal; and others.
The event, held at a nursery in New Delhi, saw Modi engaging in open discussions with students, addressing their anxieties surrounding examinations and offering guidance on various aspects of life. Key topics included managing exam stress, self-motivation techniques (including setting goals and rewarding oneself), effective time management, and the importance of mental and emotional well-being. Modi emphasized that exams are not the sole determinant of life’s success and encouraged students to explore their diverse talents and strengths beyond academics. He also highlighted the significance of environmental conservation, urging students to actively participate in his LIFE (Lifestyle for Environment) mission. The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of healthy eating habits and the benefits of meditation, even leading the students in a meditation session.
Parents were advised to avoid comparing their children and to support their unique skills and talents. Teachers were commended for their dedication, with Modi recounting anecdotes from his own schooling. The program also touched upon the use of technology, urging students to use it judiciously and avoid wasting time on unproductive activities.
PPC 2025 broke previous participation records, showcasing a significant rise in student interest. The event was live-streamed on Doordarshan, the PMO YouTube channel, and various social media platforms of the Ministry of Education and Information & Broadcasting. The event was also viewed in schools across the country.
