**New Delhi:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the eighth edition of “Pariksha Pe Charcha” (PPC) 2025 today at 11:00 AM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event, which saw a record 33 million student registrations, featured a diverse panel of celebrities alongside the Prime Minister, offering advice and support to students facing exams.
PPC 2025 included participation from renowned personalities across various fields, including spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, boxing champion Mary Kom, Paralympic gold medalist Avani Lekhara, actors Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey, and Bhumi Pednekar, fitness coach Rujuta Diwekar, Technical Guruji, and Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund. These individuals shared their insights and experiences with students, providing valuable tips for exam preparation and stress management.
During the interactive session, PM Modi offered advice on tackling exam pressure, suggesting students solve past papers to manage time effectively and reduce anxiety. He also shared a five-step process for effective learning: listening, questioning, contemplating, understanding, and application. He emphasized the importance of identifying and nurturing students’ individual talents, urging teachers to recognize and support skills beyond academics. Parents were encouraged to support their children’s strengths.
Addressing the issue of depression, PM Modi advised students to maintain open communication with their families, emphasizing the importance of sharing feelings and thoughts to avoid isolation. He cautioned against becoming “bookworms,” advising students to maintain a balance between studies and pursuing their passions. The Prime Minister also shared anecdotes from his personal life, including his struggles with handwriting and how his teachers helped him overcome them.
The event was live-streamed across various channels including Doordarshan and other government and news channels, ensuring widespread accessibility for students across India. The interactive session included direct interaction with students from various states.
