**CUPERTINO, CA – February 6, 2024** – Five-time Grammy Award winner Kendrick Lamar’s hit song “HUMBLE.” is taking center stage in a new immersive experience available exclusively on Apple Arcade for the Apple Vision Pro headset. The “Kendrick Lamar – Humble – Synth Riders Experience,” developed by Kluge Interactive, transports users into a vibrant, spatial soundscape inspired by the music video.
The experience, launching today, allows players to journey through a visually stunning world that shifts and changes with the beat, moving from the streets of New Orleans to Los Angeles, culminating in a “throne” moment. Users can choose between fully immersing themselves in the spatial songscape or interacting with a “HUMBLE.” portal within their living room.
This launch coincides with Lamar’s upcoming performance at the Apple Music Halftime Show during Super Bowl LIX on February 9th. Even those unable to attend the Super Bowl can experience Lamar’s music in this innovative, spatial-audio format.
“Being able to work with a song from a Grammy, Emmy, Billboard, and BET award-winning artist like Kendrick Lamar is an amazing opportunity,” said Kluge Interactive CEO Arturo Perez. “There’s no better way to do it than with ‘HUMBLE.,’ one of his many Hot 100 number one hits.”
Synth Riders, a freestyle dancing VR/MR rhythm game already available on multiple platforms, is a launch title for Apple Vision Pro and was nominated for a Best Spatial Computing Game Apple Design Award. The game features over 150 tracks from various artists and has previously released immersive experiences such as the “Barbie Dance ‘n Dream” experience.
Apple Arcade subscribers can access the Kendrick Lamar experience as part of their subscription, which offers unlimited access to over 200 games without ads or in-app purchases. This latest addition showcases the potential of spatial computing to create innovative and engaging entertainment experiences. Unity, the platform used to develop the experience, also praised the project for its immersive storytelling and potential for the future of entertainment.
