**New Delhi:** The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has celebrated a significant victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) 27-year reign. While AAP’s Atishi managed a narrow win in Kalkaji, defeating BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri by a margin of 3521 votes, the BJP has claimed a landslide victory, attributing it to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari declared the results a “Modi guarantee,” stating that the AAP’s top leadership, including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Saurabh Bharadwaj, had been defeated. Tiwari described Atishi’s win as a “narrow escape,” highlighting the substantial losses within the AAP. He further announced that the BJP would now focus on beautifying and improving Delhi.
The election saw the AAP suffer major setbacks, losing several key figures. Atishi’s win, however, secured a small victory for the party, preventing a complete wipeout. The BJP’s strong performance suggests a significant shift in voter sentiment in Delhi.
