**RAMPACHODAVARAM, Andhra Pradesh – February 9, 2025** – Fourteen students from the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya (KGBV-Chavitidibbalu) in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, Andhra Pradesh, have fallen ill with vomiting and fever. Three more girls were admitted to Rampachodavaram Government Area Hospital on Saturday, bringing the total number of affected students to 14.
While the cause of the illness remains undetermined, ten of the girls are reportedly recovering at the hospital. A Class 11 student who was previously transferred to Rajamahendravaram is reported to be out of danger. Doctors have recommended a special diet for all students at the school. The Samagra Shiksha District Additional Project Coordinator confirmed these details.
