**MUMBAI, February 9, 2025** – The 2016 romantic drama “Sanam Teri Kasam,” starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, is experiencing an unexpected resurgence at the Indian box office. The film, which initially grossed a modest Rs 9.1 crore during its theatrical run, has already surpassed that figure in just two days of its re-release on February 7th.

The re-release has been a phenomenal success, generating Rs 5.14 crore on its opening day – a staggering 295% increase compared to its original Day 1 collection. This impressive figure makes it the highest-grossing Hindi film on its opening day among current releases and the second-highest opening day for a re-released film in India, only behind “Gabbar Singh.” Day 2 saw another strong showing, adding approximately Rs 5 crore to the total.

The film’s remarkable performance is attributed to a combination of factors, including positive word-of-mouth, strong audience interest, and clever timing coinciding with Valentine’s Week. The enduring appeal of its heartfelt love story and popular soundtrack have also contributed to its success.
