**New Delhi, February 9, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections, according to results announced on Saturday. Following the win, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a closed-door meeting with senior BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and General Secretary BL Santosh, to determine the next Chief Minister. Parallel meetings were also held between Mr. Shah and BJP national president J.P. Nadda with all seven of Delhi’s Lok Sabha members. Unlike the Aam Aadmi Party, the BJP contested the election without publicly naming a Chief Ministerial candidate.
