**New Delhi:** While the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) suffered a major setback in the Delhi Assembly elections, losing all its prominent leaders, Atishi, a prominent AAP leader and former minister, retained her Kalkaji constituency seat. However, her celebratory videos following the win have sparked controversy.

A video surfaced online showing Atishi celebrating her victory, prompting criticism from fellow AAP Rajya Sabha MP, Swati Maliwal. Maliwal questioned the appropriateness of the celebrations given the party’s overall defeat and the loss of key figures like Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Maliwal publicly stated that Atishi should be ashamed of her actions, considering the context of the election results.

Atishi, after defeating BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri by 3,580 votes, vowed to continue the fight against the BJP, thanking voters for their trust. She acknowledged the overall election outcome and attributed her win to the hard work of her team.

The BJP secured a resounding victory, winning 48 out of 70 seats, marking a return to power after 26 years. AAP’s seat count plummeted from 62 to 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed BJP workers, celebrating the victory and highlighting the party’s commitment to the development of Delhi.
