Fri Feb 07 23:50:48 UTC 2025: ## NEET UG 2025 Registrations Open: NTA Announces Exam Date, No More Apar ID Required
**New Delhi, [Date of Publication]** – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration window for the NEET (UG) 2025 medical entrance exam. Aspiring medical students can apply online at neet.nta.nic.in from February 7th to March 7th. The exam is scheduled for May 4th and will be conducted offline.
Significantly, the NTA has clarified that an Apar ID, a unique education ID under the National Education Policy 2020, is no longer mandatory for registration. Previously, an Apar ID was a requirement. The NEET (UG) score is used for admissions to various undergraduate medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BSc Nursing, BVSc, and AH.
The Apar ID, also known as the One Nation One Student ID, was intended to create a digital record of students’ educational details from school to higher education. While it remains a government initiative, it’s no longer a prerequisite for NEET (UG) 2025 registration.
