Speaking at a press conference Thursday, Lamar stated his intention to infuse his LA energy into his performance, describing it as “being in the now” and reflecting his ongoing artistic journey. He emphasized the importance of storytelling in his music, promising a show that stays true to this core element.
This marks a significant moment for hip-hop, as Lamar becomes the first solo hip-hop artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. He previously appeared as a guest performer in 2022’s star-studded show.
