Fri Feb 07 19:42:00 UTC 2025: ## ICC Drives Global Trade Solutions and Partners with Palestine for Economic Growth

**Geneva, Switzerland** – The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) announced significant progress in its efforts to foster global trade and economic development. A new report reveals that extreme weather events cost the global economy $2 trillion over the past decade, highlighting the need for robust and adaptable trade solutions. The ICC, representing members in over 170 countries, is responding by providing a range of tools and resources, including its ICC One Click platform, Incoterms® rules, and dispute resolution services.

The organization is also working to create a harmonized digital trade environment through its Digital Standards Initiative. This proactive approach is further exemplified by its recent collaboration with Palestine Emerging. Since formalizing their partnership in October 2024, the two organizations have achieved significant milestones. These include the affiliation of the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (FPCCIA) with the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF), granting Palestinian businesses access to ICC resources and global markets. ICC OneClick is now available in Arabic to better support Palestinian SMEs.

The ICC-Palestine Emerging partnership has outlined 15 workstreams aimed at boosting the Palestinian economy and the wider Middle East region. These initiatives encompass strengthening the private sector’s connection to the ICC’s global network, promoting entrepreneurship, attracting investment, and developing local arbitration capabilities. Joint events with organizations like the United States Institute of Peace underscore the international support for this collaboration.

ICC Secretary General John W.H. Denton AO emphasized the synergistic potential of this partnership, highlighting the combination of ICC’s global expertise with Palestine Emerging’s local knowledge to integrate Palestine more effectively into the global economy. The ongoing efforts promise to unlock substantial economic opportunities for Palestinian businesses and contribute significantly to regional economic growth.
