**Hyderabad, February 7, 2025** – Four people were killed and six injured in two separate road accidents in Telangana on Friday morning.
The first accident occurred around 9:20 a.m. near Veltoor when a car was rear-ended by a container truck. Two family members, Khatkambi and Safian (aged 10), died at the scene. Five others – Chinna Babu (52), his wife Hazarambi (45), their son-in-law Moulali (38), daughter Siddhabbi (35), and granddaughter Jahnavi (6) – sustained critical injuries and are hospitalized. The accident, caused by the truck driver’s sudden braking, led to a chain reaction involving another truck.
In a second accident in Siddipet, around 4:40 a.m., a car crashed into a parked truck. Merugu Lingaiah and his brother Merugu Mahesh were killed. Their relative, Muske Binesh, and the driver, Pranay Sagar, were injured. Police reported that the truck driver had parked his vehicle and fallen asleep.
Both accidents caused temporary traffic congestion, which was subsequently cleared by police. Investigations into both incidents are underway.
