Sat Feb 08 01:30:57 UTC 2025: ## Delhi Awaits Election Results: AAP Seeks Fourth Term, BJP Eyes Comeback

**New Delhi, February 7** – Delhi holds its breath as the results of the highly anticipated Assembly elections are set to be declared tomorrow, February 8th. The counting of votes begins at 8 am across all 70 constituencies. The election pits the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.

AAP is aiming for a fourth consecutive term after securing landslide victories in 2015 (67 seats) and 2020 (62 seats). However, several exit polls have predicted a BJP win, while others suggest a close contest favoring AAP. AAP has dismissed these predictions, confidently asserting they will retain power. AAP MP Sanjay Singh stated, “Wait for February 8 and the AAP will form the government with a decisive majority.”

Adding to the pre-election drama, the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) visited Kejriwal’s residence on Thursday, seeking evidence related to his allegations of the BJP attempting to poach AAP candidates through bribery. The ACB served Kejriwal a legal notice demanding proof of these claims, following an order from Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.

The Election Commission has confirmed that all Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) are securely stored, ensuring the integrity of the election process. The results will be closely watched nationwide, with implications far beyond Delhi’s political landscape.
