Fri Feb 07 15:24:05 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Attracts ₹500 Crore Investment in Drone Tech, Creating Hundreds of Jobs

**Hyderabad, February 7, 2025** – Telangana’s burgeoning technology sector received a significant boost today with the announcement of a ₹500 crore investment by HC Robotics, a subsidiary of Hyderabad-based Centillion Networks. This investment will create 500 new jobs immediately, scaling up to 2,000 within three years, according to Telangana’s Minister for Industries and IT, D. Sridhar Babu.

HC Robotics, operating globally in drone technology, software, and aerospace, currently employs 2,000 professionals. The Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to expanding IT infrastructure to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, providing employment opportunities for rural youth. He cited Centillion Networks’ expansion into Karimnagar as an example of this strategy.

Addressing concerns about pending incentives for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Mr. Babu confirmed the government’s priority in clearing ₹4,500 crore in outstanding payments dating back to 2016. He also emphasized the state’s commitment to reclaiming land allotted for industrial projects but left unused, vowing to take legal action against offenders. A review of the Industrial Health Clinic, aimed at reviving struggling industries, is also underway, with potential for additional funding.

Mr. Babu further touted Telangana’s continued attractiveness to investors, citing the success of agreements signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos. He stated that 17 out of 18 MOUs signed last year are underway, with 10 exceeding 50% implementation. This year, the state has secured investment agreements totaling ₹1.8 lakh crore. He contrasted this progress with what he termed “baseless propaganda and fear-mongering” from the opposition, asserting the government’s focus remains on development.
