Fri Feb 07 06:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Winter Storm Brings Snow and Travel Disruptions to Southern Oregon and Northern California

**MEDFORD, OR/YREKA, CA [Date]** – A winter storm continues to impact Southern Oregon and Northern California, bringing light to moderate snowfall and creating hazardous travel conditions. The National Weather Service has issued a series of warnings and advisories across the region.

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for higher elevations in several counties, including western and eastern Siskiyou County (above 2,000 feet), eastern Curry, Josephine, and Jackson Counties (above 2,000 feet), and areas east of the Cascades in Klamath and Lake Counties. These warnings will remain in effect until 10 AM Friday. Lower elevations in these counties, as well as western Siskiyou County and the Shasta Valley, are under Winter Weather Advisories.

Snow accumulation is expected to lessen throughout Friday. However, slippery road conditions are already affecting valley floors, with significant impacts anticipated along and east of the Cascades and in Siskiyou County. Gusty winds are expected to increase at higher elevations late tonight, particularly in Lake County.

Residents are urged to exercise caution while traveling and check road conditions before venturing out. More information on the storm and updated weather alerts can be found on [insert website/news source here].
