**Ahmedabad, India –** Jeet Adani, younger son of industrialist Gautam Adani, married Diva Jaimin Shah today in a private ceremony at the Adani family’s Shantigram township in Ahmedabad. The wedding, adhering to traditional Jain and Gujarati customs, began at 2 pm and included a pledge by the couple to support a significant charitable cause.
Contrary to earlier speculation of a star-studded event, Gautam Adani confirmed the wedding would be a simple, family-focused affair, dispelling rumors of A-list celebrity attendance. The pre-wedding celebrations began on February 5th. The bride, Diva Jaimin Shah, daughter of diamond merchant Jaimin Shah, has largely maintained a low profile.
The couple’s commitment to social impact is a key element of the celebration. Jeet and Diva pledged to donate ₹10 lakh (approximately $121,000 USD) annually towards supporting the weddings of 500 women with disabilities. This initiative was launched on Wednesday with a meeting between Jeet and 21 newlywed women with disabilities.
The wedding also features a collaboration with fashion designer Manish Malhotra and the NGO Family of Disabled (FOD). FOD created custom shawls for the couple and hand-painted wedding accessories.
Jeet Adani, a director at Adani Airports and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, has previously worked in the Adani Group’s finance department. He is also a trained pilot. His inspiration, he has noted, includes his mother, Priti Adani, for her philanthropic work with the Adani Foundation.
