**Varanasi, India –** The Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) (IIT BHU) has concluded a highly successful placement season, boasting a record-breaking highest CTC package of ₹2.2 crore (approximately $266,000 USD) per annum. As of January 31st, 2025, the institute secured 1,128 placement offers and 424 internship offers, with an impressive average package of ₹22,79,680.91 per annum.

The placement drive, which is still ongoing, has seen participation from a diverse range of industries, including technology, consulting, finance, and core engineering sectors. Top recruiters included industry giants such as Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, Amazon, DataBricks, ITC, Samsung, Oracle, Walmart, and Qualcomm.

Professor Amit Patra, Director of IIT (BHU), attributed the success to the talent of the students and the institute’s commitment to academic and research excellence. He stated, “The placement results this year reinforce IIT (BHU)’s position as a premier institute producing industry-ready professionals. The ongoing placement season continues, and the institute anticipates even greater milestones in the coming months.”
