**Hyderabad, February 7, 2025** – The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) has been recognized for its exceptional landscaping, receiving eight “Gold Garden” awards and a rolling trophy for “Best Landscape Garden” at the Telangana Horticulture Department’s Garden Festival. The awards, presented by Director of Horticulture Shaik Yasmeen Basha to HMRL senior horticulture officer Sainath Sunkara, mark the sixth consecutive year the Metro has achieved this level of recognition for its station and rooftop gardens. HMRL Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy praised the horticulture team and announced plans to expand greenery initiatives, including planting under viaducts and along all Metro corridors.
