Thu Feb 06 18:42:57 UTC 2025: ## Kerala Launches Comprehensive Review of Four-Year Undergraduate Syllabi
**Thiruvananthapuram, February 7, 2025** – The Kerala Higher Education Minister, R. Bindu, announced the launch of a comprehensive review of syllabi for the state’s four-year undergraduate programmes (FYUGP). A dedicated online portal will be created to gather feedback from students, faculty, and the public.
The review will be conducted at both the university and state levels, led by the Kerala State Higher Education Council. Feedback collected through the portal will be reviewed by the respective Boards of Studies, with universities subsequently revising their syllabi based on this input. A state-level review of key courses will be overseen by Suresh Das, chairman of the Kerala State Curriculum Committee for Higher Education.
Minister Bindu also announced teacher training programs coordinated by the newly established Centre of Excellence for Teaching Learning and Training. These programs will benefit faculty in government, aided, and self-financing colleges.
Furthermore, the FYUGP monitoring committee will develop standard operating procedures for inter-university and inter-college transfers, the ‘N-1’ semester system, and online courses. The initiative aims to modernize and improve the quality of undergraduate education in Kerala.
