**RAMPACHODAVARAM, Andhra Pradesh, February 7, 2025** – Fourteen students at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Chavitidibbalu, Alluri Sitharama Raju district, have fallen ill, prompting an investigation.
The students, from classes VII, VIII, and IX, began experiencing symptoms including vomiting and fever on February 5th. All were admitted to the Chavitidibbalu Primary Health Centre. While thirteen remain at the health center and are expected to be discharged within two days, one student was transferred to a private hospital in Rajamahendravaram due to persistent vomiting. District Collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar stated that the students’ condition is stable, but they will undergo further medical examinations.
The cause of the illness remains undetermined. Officials from the Education, Medical, and Health Departments are currently investigating.
