**Seoul, South Korea** – Heavy snowfall and strong winds across central and southwestern South Korea have led to significant disruptions, with 93 passenger ferries cancelled and numerous roads closed. According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH), the severe weather resulted in the suspension of ferry services on 73 routes, primarily affecting sea routes between Jeju Island, the west coast, and the southern coast. 27 roads across multiple provinces were also closed due to hazardous conditions. Additionally, 327 trails in 16 national parks, including Jirisan and Mudeungsan, were temporarily shut down.

While the fire department reported 274 emergency response operations including rescues and safety measures, no significant damage or injuries have been reported thus far. The government had previously raised its alert level in response to the severe weather warnings.
