**KYIV, UKRAINE** – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has sharply criticized American journalist Tucker Carlson for his recent interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing Carlson of spreading pro-Russian disinformation and acting as a mouthpiece for the Kremlin.
In an interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, Zelenskyy stated that Carlson simply parrots Putin’s statements without critical analysis. He used strong language, saying Carlson needs “a deeper understanding of what’s happening in Ukraine,” and accusing him of “working for Putin” and “licking his ass.”
Zelenskyy further alleged that Carlson is deliberately misleading the public by repeating Kremlin propaganda. He directly addressed Carlson’s claims of religious persecution in Ukraine, specifically regarding the ban on the Moscow Patriarchate. Zelenskyy clarified that this decision was made solely by Ukrainian religious institutions themselves, not the Ukrainian government.
