**Vijayawada, [Date]:** The Andhra Pradesh government has granted permission for increased ticket prices for the upcoming Telugu film, “Thandel,” starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The decision follows a request from the film’s production team.
The government order allows for a ₹50 increase (including GST) for single-screen theaters and a ₹75 increase (including GST) for multiplexes. This price hike will be in effect for one week from the film’s release date.
“Thandel,” directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is based on the true story of fishermen from Sri Kakulam district who were imprisoned in Pakistan after being apprehended by the Pakistan Coast Guard. The film blends patriotic themes with a romantic narrative. The film’s director recently revealed that approximately ₹18 crore of the budget was allocated to scenes depicting a storm at sea.
The film is scheduled for release on October 7th.
