**Mumbai, February 5, 2025** – Jeet Adani, son of industrialist Gautam Adani, and his fiancée Diva Jaimin Shah have announced a unique wedding pledge: a yearly contribution of Rs 1 crore (approximately $1.2 million USD) to fund the weddings of 500 women with disabilities. The couple, who are set to marry on February 7th, will contribute Rs 10 lakh each towards the cost of each wedding.
Gautam Adani shared the news on social media, expressing his immense pride in his son and future daughter-in-law’s commitment to social good. He described the initiative as “Mangal Seva,” a benevolent act marking the auspicious occasion. Jeet Adani launched the initiative by meeting with 21 newlywed women with disabilities and their husbands.
Jeet, a 27-year-old director at Adani Airport Holdings and an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, has been a vocal advocate for inclusivity. His inspiration stems from a visit to Mitti Cafe, a restaurant chain employing people with disabilities, and his mother’s philanthropic work with the Adani Foundation. He previously advocated for a dedicated episode on “Shark Tank India” focusing on entrepreneurs with disabilities, reflecting his commitment to empowering this community. The Adani Group has also mandated that approximately 5% of its workforce comprise persons with disabilities. The couple’s generous pledge is expected to significantly impact the lives of many women and their families.
