Thu Feb 06 02:08:43 IST 2025: ## Exit Polls Predict BJP Victory in Delhi Assembly Elections

**New Delhi, [Date]** – Delhi’s 70 Assembly seats witnessed a 57.70% voter turnout today, with the fate of 699 candidates now resting in the electronic voting machines (EVMs). While official results will be declared on February 8th, exit polls are already painting a picture of a potential political upset.

Multiple exit polls suggest a significant setback for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), with most predicting a BJP victory. Surveys conducted by PEOPLE’s INSIGHT, JVC, Chanakya Strategies, and P MARQ, among others, forecast BJP securing 39-45 seats, compared to AAP’s projected 22-31. While some polls, like MATRIZE, show a closer contest, the overall trend leans towards a BJP win. People’s Pulse and DV Research also predict a strong BJP comeback. However, WeePreside and Mind Brink surveys offer contrasting predictions, favoring AAP’s return to power.

The Congress party appears to be experiencing some relief compared to the previous two elections.

It is crucial to remember that exit polls are merely projections based on voter surveys and should not be considered definitive results. The final outcome will only be known after the vote count on February 8th.

This election saw 96 female candidates vying for seats, with AAP and Congress contesting all 70 seats, and BJP contesting 68 (leaving two for allies LJP and JDU). Other parties like AIMIM, NCP, CPI, CPM, and CPI(ML) also fielded candidates.

Separately, exit polls for the Uttar Pradesh’s Milkipur Assembly by-election are expected later today. The contest is primarily between the BJP and Samajwadi Party (SP).

The final results for both Delhi and Milkipur will be announced on February 8th.
