Wed Feb 05 13:06:40 UTC 2025: ## Vivo Teases Ultra-Slim V50 Smartphone with Impressive Specs Ahead of India Launch

**NEW DELHI –** Vivo is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated V50 smartphone in India, boasting a remarkably slim profile and a host of impressive features. A dedicated microsite on the Vivo India website reveals key details ahead of the anticipated February 18th launch.

The V50 is touted as India’s slimmest phone, packing a substantial 6000mAh battery despite its slender design. It will be available in three eye-catching colors: Rose Red, Titanium Grey, and Starry Blue, the latter featuring India’s first 3D-star technology on a smartphone. Durability is prioritized with IP68 & IP69 dust and water resistance and Schott Diamond Shield Glass for enhanced drop protection, a crucial feature given the phone’s expected quad-curved display.

Camera capabilities are a major highlight. The V50 features ZEISS-branded dual rear cameras (50MP main and 50MP ultra-wide), along with a 50MP ZEISS-branded front camera. The rear cameras offer versatile portrait shooting options (23mm, 35mm, and 50mm) and include Vivo’s signature ‘Aura Light’ flash, further enhanced by colour tuning specifically for Indian wedding portraits.

While the processor remains unannounced, speculation points towards the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Vivo promises a smooth user experience for five years, suggesting potential support for four years of Android updates and five years of security updates. The phone will also incorporate several unique features including Gemini, Circle to Search, AI transcript, and live call translation.

Although an official release date is yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest a launch on February 18th. Pricing is expected to be under ₹40,000, a competitive price point considering last year’s Vivo V40 launched at ₹34,999. The final specifications and pricing will be revealed at the official launch event.
