**CHENNAI, INDIA – February 5, 2024** – After a series of delays, the highly anticipated Tamil action thriller *Vidaamuyarchi*, starring Ajith Kumar, will finally premiere in theaters on February 6th. The film, which wrapped shooting in Bangkok last December after a production spanning Azerbaijan, was initially slated for a January 10th release.
*Vidaamuyarchi*, an adaptation of the Hollywood film *Breakdown*, features Ajith Kumar in a new avatar as Arjun, a man whose wife is abducted in Azerbaijan. The film promises intense action sequences, gripping confrontations, a strong flashback focusing on his relationship with his wife, and several plot twists. This marks Ajith Kumar’s first release since *Thunivu* (2023) and his first collaboration with director Magizh Thirumeni (*Thadam*, *Meaghamann*).
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Ajith Kumar opposite Trisha (in their fifth film together), Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav.
