**Dubai, UAE** – Tickets for the highly anticipated India versus Pakistan match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 were snatched up within minutes of their release on Monday, leaving thousands of disappointed fans. Over 150,000 online applicants faced wait times exceeding an hour, only to find most ticket categories sold out.

The February 23rd match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is a group-stage encounter in the hybrid Pakistan-UAE tournament. Even the most expensive tickets, priced at Dh5,000 (approximately Rs 1.8 lakh) for Grand Lounge seats, were quickly snapped up. The stadium’s 25,000 capacity proved insufficient to meet the overwhelming demand.

Dubai resident Sudhashree described the experience as “shocking,” noting that despite expecting long queues, the speed of the sell-out was unexpected. She was only able to access remaining tickets outside her budget.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, a 15-match tournament running over 19 days, will see the top eight teams compete in both Pakistan and the UAE. Pakistan, the 2017 champions, will open the tournament against New Zealand in Karachi on February 19th.
