**Pathanamthitta, Kerala, February 5, 2025** – Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat inaugurated the Hindu Unity Convention in Cherukolppuzha on Wednesday, emphasizing a vision of equality within Hinduism. Speaking at the 113th Hindu Religious Convention, Bhagwat asserted that the core tenets of Hinduism are truth, kindness, hygiene, and meditation, and that the caste system is antithetical to these principles. He urged Hindus to reject caste hierarchies and practice dharma on an individual level, encouraging weekly family introspection to strengthen community bonds. Bhagwat also stressed the importance of environmental conservation, calling on Hindus to conserve water, plant trees, and reduce plastic use. The convention, which features the release of a new book, *Sreenarayana Smrithiyude Vedajyothi*, will conclude on February 9th.
