Wed Feb 05 16:07:43 UTC 2025: ## BJP Poised for Delhi Victory: Exit Polls Predict AAP Rout, Congress Wipeout

**New Delhi, [Date]** – Exit polls for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections suggest a significant victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), potentially ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) decade-long reign. While the results are not definitive and exit polls have been known to be inaccurate, several polls predict a comfortable majority for the BJP, with some suggesting a landslide win.

NDTV’s Poll of Polls projects 41 seats for the BJP, 28 for the AAP, and a mere 1 seat for the Congress. This would mark the BJP’s first control of the Delhi government in two decades. Seven exit polls – DV Research, Chanakaya Strategies, JVC, Poll Diary, P-Marq, People’s Insight, and People’s Pulse – all foresee a BJP victory, with several predicting over 40 seats for the party. People’s Pulse, in a particularly strong prediction, gives the BJP between 51 and 60 seats.

However, two polls offer a contrasting view. WeePreside projects a win for AAP, with 46-52 seats, and Mind Brink predicts 44-49 seats for the party. Other polls, however, paint a bleak picture for AAP, predicting as few as 10 seats (People’s Pulse). The AAP, which won 67 seats in 2015 and 62 in 2020, has dismissed the exit polls, citing past instances where they were similarly underestimated.

The Congress continues its dismal performance, with projections ranging from zero to three seats. Matrize exit poll offers a more ambiguous prediction, suggesting a hung assembly with the BJP and AAP securing between 35-40 and 32-37 seats, respectively.

The official results will be announced on Saturday. The significant discrepancy between the various exit polls highlights the inherent uncertainty involved in such predictions.
