**NEW DELHI, February 5, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi today for a courtesy call. During the meeting, Minister Lokesh advocated for the establishment of a defence cluster in Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the significant investment and job creation potential within the defence equipment manufacturing sector.

Minister Lokesh also briefed Mr. Singh on the state government’s development initiatives, including progress on the Amaravati capital city and the Polavaram irrigation project. He expressed gratitude for the central government’s continued support to Andhra Pradesh. The meeting was attended by Union Ministers K.
