Tue Feb 04 17:20:00 IST 2025: ## Medvedev Unleashes Another Epic Rant at Rotterdam Open

**ROTTERDAM, Netherlands** – Daniil Medvedev, the former world No. 1, continued his reputation for fiery on-court outbursts at the ABN Amro Open in Rotterdam. During his opening-round match against Stan Wawrinka, Medvedev launched into a heated argument with chair umpire Adel Nour after receiving a time violation.

The incident occurred in the first set at 5-5, 40-0, when Nour penalized Medvedev for exceeding the time limit between points. Medvedev, believing the delay was caused by ball kids, responded with an angry ace followed by a lengthy tirade during the changeover. He accused Nour of lacking awareness, referencing a past match involving his friend Karen Khachanov that Nour also officiated. “Do you see? Open your eyes. No, you don’t have eyes, man. You’re so bad,” Medvedev reportedly exclaimed.

Despite the outburst, Medvedev ultimately lost the first set in a tiebreaker. However, he mounted a strong comeback, winning the next two sets 6-4 and 6-1 to secure victory over Wawrinka and advance in the tournament. The match marked another instance of Medvedev’s passionate, and sometimes controversial, on-court behavior.
