**BENGALURU, February 4, 2025** – Reverend Peter Machado, Metropolitan Archbishop of Bengaluru, has been elected vice-president of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI). The announcement was made following the conclusion of the CCBI’s 36th plenary assembly held at XIM University in Bhubaneswar. The assembly, which ran from January 28th to February 4th, also saw Cardinal Felipe Neri Ferrao re-elected as president and Archbishop Vincent Aind of Ranchi elected as Secretary-General.
