**Bengaluru, India –** In a crackdown on tax evasion, the Bengaluru Transport Department seized 30 luxury vehicles over the weekend, including Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, Audis, and Range Rovers. The operation, led by Deputy Commissioner of Transport C Mallikarjun, involved a team of 41 officers and resulted in tax notices totaling ₹3 crore (approximately $360,000 USD).
The department has been focusing on improving tax compliance among owners of high-end vehicles in the city. Sunday’s action targeted cars operating without paying the required taxes. The seized vehicles will remain impounded until outstanding taxes are settled.
